What is the meaning of having the "freedom of speech"? Freedom of speech can be defined as having the ability and the fundamental right to convey his/her thoughts, ideas, information and opinions in written or verbal form, as well as the related right to hear what others have stated free of government restrictions based on content. This "freedom" is protected by the 1st Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. The "protection" is a guaranteed right for all American citizens. Recently, "the freedom speech" has been commonly understood to include full freedom of expression: the freedom to create and distribute movies, pictures, songs, dances, and all other forms of expressive communication.

The Soap Box: Reel Talk For Real People encourages all to take a "vocal" stand via this forum to exercise your fundamental right to convey thoughts, ideas, information and opinions in written or verbal form, as well as hearing and dialoguing with others free of government restrictions based on content. The ultimate goal of "The Soap Box" is to provide a forum for people to dialog with others without having fear or contradiction: not to become each other but to recognize one another, learn and honor the divine essence in all without fear of contradiction.

Quotations:
"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it". Commonly attributed to Voltaire (actually written by his biographer, Evelyn Beatrice Hall, writing as S.G. Tallentyre in 1906).

"Nature forms. Hatred deforms. Love transforms. Prisons are designed to reform. Systems conform. "The Soap Box unapologetically, responsibly and radically informs."" ~ Sharon L. Fuller
